10 years after the release of their debut full-length album the veterans of Novgorod black metal scene finally present their second album. Traditionally the album includes both new songs and the songs composed at different time periods. In other words, the band presents both new material and some kind of retrospective of its works. The genre of ‘Holy Infection’ is black metal in it’s best: nordic, grim and evil. Long songs with constantly changing rhythms shackle you with ice-cold chains, while the vortex of sharp mercyless guitar riffs and machine-gun drumming sweeps you away and throws you into the abyss of nothingness. Low and mostly mid-tempo screaming by Noromi Lucalen easily weaves through the dark patterns of lyrics and thoughts. This album is sure to impress all fans of uptempo and evil black metal, and the fans of proper metal in general!
