More Hate Productions presents the fourth full length album by VELIAR — a melodic death/black metal band from Taganrog (Russia). The CD contains ten epic tracks with a variety of extreme and clean vocals in Russian capable of bringing us back to the times of medieval Rus: to the battlefields, to the boats of Volga river pirates, and awaking the pure Russian spirit in memory of the military glory of our remote ancestors. According to Demether Grail - the author of the lyrics — the album describes different historic events and cultural phenomena from the Russian past, conveying the profound patriotic message and longing for the glorious foretime! «Ya - Mir» (I am the world) is the only song where the lyrics are the result of joint efforts of the musicians. Musically the album is a combination of black metal («Brat na Brata» (Brother against brother)), death metal («Ya - Mir» (I am the world) and some thrash metal and doom metal elements. However in general the band is increasingly moving towards pagan metal both lyrics- and music-wise.
