BANDS
PLAHA
Plaha emerged in 2021 in Saint Petersburg. Initially, the band positioned itself as a pure depressive metal project, heavily influenced by the genres harsh aesthetics. Their early performances were marked by gothic theatricality: makeup, dresses, and an atmosphere of total despair. Their debut album "Urodstvo" (2022) served as both catharsis and manifesto. Its digital release instantly carved out Plaha-s place on the Russian metal scene. In 2024, with the arrival of a new vocalist, the bands sound began to evolve towards greater melody and structure. The new material became more atmospheric, layered with complex arrangements. The group adopted a more restrained image, shifting the focus from external attributes to musical and emotional depth. Today, Plaha is already working on their third full-length album. However, it is now, thanks to MoreHate and ARX, that their debut "Urodstvo" finds physical form on CD. This is a chance to rediscover the origins of a band whose path from pure despair to conscious melancholy continues to be one of the most compelling in the Russian scene.
